A K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Plano, TX, supporting a hybrid schedule within a dynamic school environment. This contract role spans the current school year through May 29, 2026, serving an approximate caseload of 80 students. The position involves supervising an SLP Assistant, conducting evaluations and re-evaluations, and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and re-evaluate students speech and language needs in compliance with IDEA and school policies.
- Supervise and collaborate with an SLP Assistant to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with educators, parents, and other service providers.
- Adapt therapy interventions to meet diverse student needs across K-12 grade levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting, delivering services to a wide range of speech and language disorders.
- Strong caseload management skills, with demonstrated ability to oversee support staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
